The best was in the meat-packing district (yes yes) in Manhattan in the mid-90s when we'd go clubbing at The Tunnel (yes yes) and leave the club somewhere between 10am and noon the next day. Hookers out in full force, with their pimps, complete with excessive gold chains and medallions.

Two of them in HIGH high heels walking along asking cars if they wanted to procure their services, when a third one comes sprinting up the street screaming in her new york accent, "Quick! Get in the van! The cops are comin!"

All three start sprinting up the street immediately (how does one sprint in heels? They did.), hop into a van and slam the door shut, just as the cop car comes whizzing by.
