RIP, his good works will continue through the several foundations he supported and the Newman's Own line. Condolences to Joanne, they shared a wonderful life together. He made some fine films, and a few bad ones, but he was a class act. I'll watch Butch & Sundance tonight in his honor, perhaps followed by Road to Perdition (or Cars). RIP Paul

Too sad- he's one of my favorite actors, and a kind and generous man in real life. He was everything Brad Pitt wishes he could be.

I'm so bummed. Sure he was a great actor but he trancended that with his kindness and his belief that he could (and should) use his celebrity to help others and to aid causes that he believed in.
RIP Paul, you will be missed.
