Rep. Kevin Brady asked for an explanation of why the government-run subway system didn’t, in his view, adequately prepare for this past weekend’s rally to protest government spending and government services.

I don't know where I read it but Brady (and many other Republicans) also voted against a bill that would have funded repairs and upgrades to the DC Metro subway system arguing that no money should be spent on mass transit until more money was allocated for roads.

In Hawaii they are trying to get mass transit to move forward and they keep talking about federal funds but as of yet ZERO dollars have been allocated. That's $1.4B, yes billion, that would then fall to the local tax payers.
