Here's my take on it... your pass is a contract. Part of that contract allows you to purchase block-out day tickets. Now, obviously entrance to Disneyland is not guaranteed, as the park may fill up, but it seems to me that as long as they are selling 1-day tickets, they must sell block-out tickets. Otherwise, what is their excuse? Oh no, we won't be selling block-out tickets because the park is too full, but if you want to pay double the park ISN'T too full? Can't happen. I mean, theoretically, it COULD, but it would be a PR DISASTER for them.
