OMG! Richard Cheese rocks! We *MUST* get "Aperirif for Destruction." "Phil Specter! Do something! (gun shot)"

I just about knocked the laptop off the table in a fit of laughter. That was hysterical!

There was a great interview with Richard Cheese on Coverville a few weeks ago. He totally went off on Paul Anka ripping him off on Rock Swings (which is also a great CD btw).

I'm currently enjoying a Pink Martini CD (Sympathique) which I had to have after hearing "Que Sera Sera" on Coverville (thank you again, Heidi, for recommending that podcast). And I'm slowly dipping into Volume 2 of the Capitol Beatles album re-releases in order to minimize the impact on my psyche of reliving my childhood.

I've been listening to a track that has mixed The Doors 'Riders on (of?) the Storm' with Blondie's 'Rapture'. It's wild.

I've also been listening to a lot of Madeleine Peyroux. She's great.

I also like Missy Elliott's new one 'We Run This' and LL Cool J's 'Control Myself'.

I think that mix is Ursula 1000.

We're big Madeline fans here too.

I really like SWR bt I have always enjoyed that sound. The first time I heard Interpol I was all over them as well.

However, Ian Curtis of Joy Division died MUCH too young, I'm glad there are some new bands that can carry on their sound in the way that New Order should've.

When I bought that one, the guy at the counter commented that it was the third Stereo Total album he had sold that day and he was only 2 hours into his shift - their 15 minutes must be coming up.

Every time this thread resurrects, I feel like my music choices are not deep enough.

I like mindless stuff.

'We Run This' ~ Missy Elliott
'Gimme That' ~ The Resource
'La Tortura' ~ Shakira
'You've Got the Love' ~ The Source ft Candi Station
