[Capt Jack]

if the world could be turned
back upon itself
if time could be placed
back up on the shelf

would I go back and change
all the things that Ive done?
to have just one more day
for us in the sun

to hold your young hand
just one final time
and remind us again
of how once you were mine

would it change what is now?
could it change all the wrong?
if we both could go back
and sing just one more song

would it lead here again?
and bring back all the pain
or could we go right
instead of left again

if I had the power
you know I would try
to make it all better
to make the days fly

but that powers not in me
though I wish it were true
so I'll just say I love you
and hope you still love me too
