				            | Who gives fertility treatment to a 33 year old with 6 kids??? Will we be paying any public assistance to this person of their family?

				            | I wonder if the ruptured implant really was "repaired" or if it was replaced. I'm only willing to rely on duct tape for so much. |

				            | Bewbies. Tom Leykis was ranting about that guy yesterday... saying it was very wrong of him to do - but people should be careful how far they push others - everyone has a snapping point eventually. And then they come stab you and try to steal your tits.

				          | With the Mom of octuplets - they said that she received counseling about the risks of carrying 7 babies to term, and she refused selective abortion. I respect her right to make THAT decision, but WHAT fertility clinic implanted that many embryos in the FIRST place without going through extensive counseling. I was under the impression that they would implant fewer embryos if you weren't willing to go through selective abortion. The fact that there's been NO mention of a fertility clinic makes me think they KNOW they messed up. I mean, what clinic doesn't make sure a mother gets prenatal care in her first trimester? (Or maybe they did, but it didn't come from the place that delivered the babies) And where the heck is Daddy?! |

The deal with these super-multi-pregnancies is that it's generally people who do step 1 of fertility (hormone injections to promote follicle growth), but, for whatever reason, fail to stick to the rest of the procedure. It's impossible to predict exactly how much follicle growth will result from an injection, so you're supposed to get blood work done to monitor it. If too many follicles are detected, a responsible doctor will either tell them to hold off on trying to conceive until the next cycle when they can reduce the hormone dose, or they'll harvest eggs for invetro. But if they just got the hormone injection and went ahead and conceived without checking, or ignoring the advice to wait until next cycle....... (I read a good article yesterday).

| HI! | I don't understand WHY a 33 year old with 6 children already would NEED fertility treatments in the first place? Her most recent birth was twins that are only 2 years old. She obviously doesn't have a problem conceiving. I wonder about her real motives. Publicity? Guiness Book? Charity? Or, maybe it's just stupidity. |

				            | http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/...n4764432.shtml Apparently she's abandoned her home and applied for bankruptcy. I read in another article she was implanted with 8 and they all "took".
