In reading the story, my friend pointed out the horrible writing in the opening sentence (or the sub-head; whichever it is):

Based on the site design I strongly suspected it was either a parody site or some kind of local batboy-style tabloid. But there's a similar story at the area's legitimate newspaper as well.
