The one Madz had supposedly you just felt some pressure when you cranked. She didn't really complain much so I'm fairly certain it wasn't that bad as she's the biggest whiner baby on the planet.

It was mostly the no gum part she hated.

I had to have actual surgery to fix my crooked teeth. So there! Messy, bloody gum surgery.

So, as the years pass I can measure the process of delocalization by the ever increasing time it takes me to slip back into saying "pop" whenever I visit home or Seattle.

Now, I'm still thrilled everytime I get here and a waiter asks if I want pop, or that the McDonald's receipt says pop. But it gets harder and harder to say it myself.

Thanks for bringing up my dad and reminding me of his death. Way to ruin my evening.

Since other people take dead parents more seriously than I do, let me ETA that though my father is dead, my evening is not ruined or otherwise diminished.

It is strange how saying "pop" seems like a juvenile thing to say, while "soda" is not. I'm sure it is perfectly acceptable in other areas of the country. Strange how demographic clicks of society work.

Garlic. While I love the stuff, I tend to smell.

I'm assuming certain other foods do the same thing, I just notice it less.
