Hurricane Lashbear to hit Florida.... News at 11.
It's confirmed.
We will be in Florida for the beginning of our trip, from 17th - 23rd March 2007, staying at the Magic Tree Resort in Kissimmee, which they tell us is only a couple of miles to WDW. Yay. OK, bring on the Bitter East Coasters Meet. ![]() ![]()

The Magic Tree? I've never heard of it, and I've been here for seventeen years. Perhaps it's new, or a rename. Anyhow, I'm sure we can arrange a get together here. Our Dole Whip rocks, our Kaki Gori tempts, sadly, our churros aren't so hot.

HI!

Yes, but how are the corndogs? If there were ever two people who needed to partake in corndogs together it would be FS and LB.

Agreed, but alas, there are no corn dogs at our Disney parks. Perhaps at a resort, though offhand, I don't know where to find any on property. Sad, I know.

Magic Tree Resort
We're getting a hire car for the week so we can get around the parks quickly.... so much to see, so little time ! ...any hints on cheap parking when park-hopping ? ![]() ...We can't wait to see Horizons, and Ellen's Energy Adventure, and the Living Seas and the Kraft Kitchen Kabaret, and Spaceship Earth !!!

Matterhorn fan is sure to stop by here sooner or later. HTH is elusive lately, but I'll see him tomorrow.
You're out of luck on Kitchen Kabaret and Horizons, but all those other things are still here in one form or another. Kitchen Kabaret closed about fifteen years ago to make way for an inferior replacement called Food Rocks! - that lame show featured extremely limited animatronics, including a Cher lookalike mermaid, and Pita (as in pita bread) Gabriel. But now, even that is gone. Where those attractions once stood, you will now find the entrance queue for Soarin'. (If you've been on Soarin Over California, you've been on ours as well. It's the same film, but here in Florida, we pretend not to know the location you are soaring over.) You will get to see the new attraction at the former Living Seas, now known as The Seas with Nemo and Friends. The new dark ride is charming and fun, and Turtle Talk with Crush is a fine attraction if you can manage not to wait too long for it. (Try it late in the evening.) Ellen DeGeneres is well represented at Epcot, now showing up at Ellen's Energy Adventure, the Nemo ride, and Turtle Talk. I hope she's being compensated appropriately. |

Um, I don't pretend not to know what location I'm flying over on Soarin'.
![]() Lashbear, I feel it necessary to give you fair warning: I will not accompany you into the Stitch attraction. Or any other attraction with intrusive "effects." But I'll happily wait for you at the exits of such attractions. HTHBellcaptain is highly unlikely to show up here, but he's aware of your trip. |
