Hurrah indeed, I just hope it's effective. I'm generally suspcious of bond projects. The funding rarely comes through and costs a bundle in the long run.

Compare to Measure M in OC which is funded by a 1/2 cent gas tax. Guaranteed income, paid for directly by the people who will benefit (i.e., drivers), and it's done wonders. Sure, it's meant a few years of frustration due to a lot of construction, but it's construction that's been badly needed and, more importantly, actually got done.

And it's just been renewed.
