I saw this the other day and was somewhat surprised to read what she had said. I'm not really sure how to take it though. Seems she would want to be a little more careful about possibly alienating her fans so it seems strange that she would answer the questions in that way, regardless of the publication. The possibility exists that her mind is slipping a bit. She is in her 80's. Strange interview though.
I think this is my favorite quote: Quote:

It's not just the weird quotes with regards to her gay fans- did you catch this?:
KK: As revealed in your biography “Just Lucky I Guess,” you found out later in life that your father was of African-American origins. Did you ever feel betrayed that you weren’t told that right from the start? CC: No. I didn’t even know it would matter, that reporters would ask questions. [It did] not change my relationship with him at all. But I did finally realize why I sang so well, why I danced do well. Everyone’s race is something to be proud of. I’m terribly proud of it. I was very close to him and loved him dearly. He was the kindest, most spiritually minded person I knew. While I'm glad she loved her father, I couldn't help but be a bit taken aback at the 'singing and dancing' remark. ![]() |
