I get a different Myers-Briggs result every time I take it. Whee! Pointless!

The problem is, once you've taken it once you can pretty much get whatever answer you want after that.
In library school there was a class (collection development) where the adjunt professor* teaching it was a huge proponent of Myers-Briggs as a management tool. She'd give the test on the first day and then break the class into teams based on the results. I (and a lot of fellow students) thought this was stupid so we all decided before hand what result we'd get and she wasn't happy when 70% of the class had the same unlikely combination. *This turned out to be my only bad teacher in grad school. I once got an A on a paper I could absolutely prove she'd never read. |

I've been an ENFP since I first took it at 13 (and I haven't "swung" it.) Lot of NFPs here... no wonder we all get along! I'm sure that the writer of this test is just being snarky, but I am not generally insincere and I *definitely* don't have a problem with commitment.

Of course, people seldom do the full blown Meyers-Briggs, though it's pretty easy to sort yourself into the appropriate buckets. Over time I've moved from a T to a F, so I tend to straddle that one, but I'm always way in the N.
I think it can be a good tool in helping to understand how the world can be approached differently, but like all things you have to recognize it's limitations. It won't solve underlying problems, using it to segregate people is also a recipe for disaster.

![]() People love to hate you, because you love to argue. Says you...and its not that I argue, its taking an opposite side to a discussion. Big diff you twit. The strange thing is you probably took that as a compliment. um...well...yeah. I did...what’s your point? Why, I bet you've already got a witty comeback all lined up ready to throw right back at me. kiss my shiny metal butt, wanker! I don’t care enough to be 'witty' for you What you don't realise is that your inane obsession with debating pisses everyone off. Whatever happened to us all trying to get alone? get alone? at least I spell check my sh!t, dumba$$ I mean, you're so annoying people disagree with you for the damn sake of it! then its a good thing I’m prepared, isn’t it? NOBODY cares about your abundant opinions. Trust me. ok, that hurt...not that they don’t care but that you would assume I would trust you in any fashion. Believe it or not, but there's more to life than your expansive knowledge and sharp repertoire. When was the last time you showered? Brushed your teeth? anything you smell is undoubtedly your upper lip. While you're up in Nevernever land, getting excited over future possibilities and your crazy theories, WE have to put up with your awful stench. I can smell you from here. once again, if you a)washed your face and/or b) take that smelly finger out of your nose, you'd have a lot fewer issues with my B.O. and start realizing that its far more local than that. Your personality is ideal for that of a future lawyer and because everyone already hates you, you have nothing to lose. touche'...asshat.
