We recently strolled the grounds of the Winchester House. We were staying nearby...geesh, I forget the name of the place but it was a ten minute drive from there. We also went to the Mission. It wasn't open.
I didn't do much there but the Chickie and fiance spent two whole days exploring. They went to an Egyptian museum {?}. Found Vegan places to eat. We went to Carls' Jr. BUT back to topic~that would be the best if it were all a gang of people you knew to do the tour with. And no babies!!! ![]()

Probably the Rosicrucian Temple and Egyptian museum. Freaky cool.

The Rosicrucian Temple and museum is indeed cool. Just go in knowing that a fair amount of the history presented is fraudulent (as you'd expect from an 19th century fraternal organization that truly believes it has a continuous history extending all the way back to ancient Egypt).
But if you keep that in mind it is cool. And a lot of the straight Egyptology on display is accurate, just be wary of the claims about the organization. (Here's a brief overview) |
