2006 was actually a really good year for me, which I even find surprising. LOL! Usually, every single year gets ruined for me in some form or another, but '06 was practically perfect in every way.
(Now watch as something bad happens on New Years Eve '06 ![]() As for 2007, I have, but one dream. MUST. GET. OUT. ON. MY. OWN. NOW!!!

The community colleges here have winter, spring, summer, fall, 4-week, 8-week and weekend classes. And dispite all these semester offerings, classes are still in shortage. |

Ok, that makes more sense. Does the community college call their four standard sessions semesters or quarters?
It's not important just semantic curiosity (since semester literally means six months long). |

2006 was a challenging year (both good and not so good) and it ends with me feeling ready for the possibilities of 2007.
At work I want to continue my goal to go home on time so I can live what I consider my real life. But I have to figure out how to stop feeling like I have to push myself to the limit to get everything done. Not everything can get done (at least not by me) and I have to be okay with that. Personally I want to spend more time taking care of things at home. I have this large but cluttered "walk-in closet" that I hope to have transformed into an actual spare room slash second bedroom by this time next year. Then when I've dealt with the clutter I might be able to paint and fix all the things that need fixing. Most of all I want to continue the lifelong journey of becoming more myself. ![]()

2006 did all right by me. I met a cute girl who isn't afraid of me having a husband. I had several trips to Disneyland. I went back to school.
I don't make resolutions but my hopes for 2007 include: getting good grades in my classes; making the relationship with this girl into something real; I want a good job; and I want my dog to be as healthy and functional as possible for a very long time. He's recently a paraplegic, so I worry. I also want to get more projects done around the house here- kitchen cupboards, all walls, and my floors need work. Closets need cleaning. The yard needs pruning and a lot of work. I'd also like to get more reading done though during the school terms I don't have any time for pleasure reading. I have 10 books waiting for me, and am actually reading 3. I want to see my friends more. I have always been an "on my own" girl but I'm finding that's not a good plan. Now that I'm aware, I should fix it and that means keeping in touch with my friends better than I have done.

The community colleges here call them semesters. They are 16 or 18 weeks depending on what school you attend. I did not know that semester means 6 months. I learned something today. YAY!

I may wish I were rich enough to afford the Aussie vacation I've always wanted...but our resolution involving continental US travel is the only realistic option at the moment. Sorry Lashie.

2007, huh?
Continue to, and improve upon, manifesting happiness by having happiness be my steady-state emotion, veered from only for truly good cause and for short duration. Continue to, and improve upon, manifesting love by always choosing love over fear, and thus being love always. If that brings a boyfriend into things, great. If money comes along, fine ... but a straight rode to happiness without passing GO and collecting will be just fine by me, too. Get in shape for the trek to the bottom of the Grand Canyon in June. Do those pesky house repairs that have been on the resolution list for a few years. And, hmm, 2007 may be the year I finally take up the saxophone. |
