Heheh, I've never watched the DVD I purchased. I'm trying to get over the fawlty display ratio issue. Hmmm, it'll be interesting to see what image ratio they use at the El Cap.
But I've seen Mary Poppins dozens of times .... the first during its original 1964 run at Radio City Music Hall. Some people say it drags in the third act - and it does take a dark and slowing turn there. Yet, that's a mere quibble to detract from one of the best movie musicals ever made ... and Walt Disney's most famous and successful live action picture is a true classic worth seeing on the silver screen. Ooooh, and who can resist a sing-along?!?! |

You know, it's the sing-along that's the biggest deterrent for me to see it. If I want to see the movie I want to hear Julie Andrews.
