I just signed into MySpace for the first time in forever. I created an account and did nothing with it. It's under my old email address, and to change the email address I have to click the confirmation link...that was sent to the old email address which doesn't exist anymore

Well, it's not only that the target demographic at myspace is young even by my rather geppettophile standards ... but it's also that I'm a perfectionist who will want a reaaaallly cool myspace page - - that I have no time to create any time soon.

I haven't really been tempted to do the MySpace thing- I seldom update LJ, so I think it would be a waste of time. Might do it just out of curiousity to see Lash's itinerary, but I'd never use it.

That's what editors are for. Perfect page in 5 minutes or less.

The one thing I do think My Space is useful for is tracking bands/music you like. Often tour schedules, or one off appearances are announced here - also with the attached music files, it's a good way to sample some music in advance of some event like Coachella.

I suppose Lashbear used another nice feature I never use - the shared calendar.

I still prefer blogging on Live Journal though

I have a MS page and I log in about once a month - mainly to visit the sites of bands I am interested in. That's about it.
