Just some advice from my experiences with another group of camping friends and our repeated attempts to get weekend trips scheduled.

A date will never be reached by committee. Somebody just needs to stand up and say "This is the weekend I will be there, I've reserved two sites [if reservations have been made], hope to see you there."

I agree with Alex - however, I'm in no position to make such a decision. If I looked at every weekend on the calendar (pretty much between here and the end of the year) I'd say I could do none of them.

If someone threw down a date then it could be made to happen.

On that note, might it be too late to get any of the aforementioned dates? If I remember correctly, many campsites at more touristy destinations, such as Sequoia and Kings Canyon book up kind of early for weekends during the nice weather months.

Cinco de Mayo is only 3 weeks away. If folks can do it then, let's do it then, if not, let's scratch it off the list so at least we've narrowed it down!

I've already elminated Cinco de Mayo. I'm performing a wedding at the Resort that weekend, and it's also the weekour our fellow swanker, Snowflake, is in town.

How's June 23rd weekend?

Hearing no grevious objections to that weekend in the next 48 hours, I nominate our LoT Secretary of Dynamic Activity Planning to see what can be done about setting it in stone.

Actually, I just looked at the poll, and the June 30-July 1 weekend is winning by a landslide. I take that back about June 23 ... because the entire point of the poll was to find a clear winner. Until recently, everything was tied tightly. For some reason, June-July got a slew of votes since then.

So ... The poll winner - absent any fervent objections - will be decided after this weekend. April 16, the votes will be tallied and the Secretary of Dynamic Activity Planning will be asked to make arrangements!

BTW, I did not vote for that weekend ... but I'd LOVE to spend my birthday Swankamping with you guys!

Well, by some strange fat, I have no overnights scheduled for June 30 weekend so I can even go. It's late in the years and that sucks, but we'll see what we can do.
