For some reason, I keep picturing the Simpsons episode where the students are involved in the model UN club. They are all dressed in little national costumes! They also get stranded on a desert island & hope to have monkey butlers.

Did anybody watch The Simpsons season finales the other night? I giggled when Marge found a House Of Blues- Anaheim matchbook in Bart's shorts.

Well, here's the link to the main website: http://www.missuniverse.com/

From there you need to select a contestant from the drop down menu on the left (I suggest starting with Albania and progressing alphabetically), when the contestant page comes up choose "photos", and then choose "national costume". It's a bit of work, but from there you can go through the candidates alphabetically using the next/previous buttons in the lower right.

How could you like Germany? Egads! That one was so poorly constructed it made me want to cry.

My personal favorite was Kazakhstan.

Croatia looked as bored in her costume as I felt looking at it.

The only one that blueerica linked that I liked was Israel and that doesn't seem particularly "national costumy" except for being blue and white.

I liked Germany mainly because it had something to do with something (though in retrospect, it could be any kind of European dress). Plus, she has that silly look on her face while pulling up her braids. That always wins points with me.
