I haven't been able to see the Polydactyl yet, and I'm not sure I can see him before next Saturday's adoption fair - which I can't go to. Meanwhile, I also became interested in a silver and black tabby, but she's a heap of trouble and probably wouldn't be good with the boys (per my second visit with her today. While at said visit, I met that little tyke pictured above. His coloring is shades of taupe and mocha - more Siamese colors than brown tabby. SWEET sweet baby boy. Here's a video which includes Ike and his brother Iggy (who was adopted yesterday) as well as the troublemaker grey tabby girl (Dally) and a Tuxedo boy - all at the Seal Beach Animal Shelter.

Erica - I'm tempted to say that life is always easy. You make your decisions, you take your chances, you deal with consequences. It's always got challenges, and regardless of the size of the problem and the stakes involved, there's always good and bad ways to deal with things. Sometimes it's mistakes and bad times that lead to wisdom and happiness, and those that lead "easy" lives end up totally unprepared to deal with life....not to mention becoming total assholes in the process.

I've had my sht. I just remember that in the long run I'm one of the luckiest people alive - we all are, because we have real choices, even among the chaos.

I hope things go better for you, and soon.

Posting a one liner does not indicate anything more than a crappy day - a typical crappy day. E has posted many times in this thread about the stresses in her life because of school and other crap. We all love and support her in this trying time. Our posts in response to this ONE post are simply a way for myself (and I suspect others - though I do not portend to speak for others) to keep the spirit light.

Most everyone on this board, if they are in need of supportive words and energy, are able to ask for it knowing that this is a safe and supportive community in which to do it. I believe that E is one of those people who know this and (without doing proper research) believe she may have done so in the past.

And to Erica: if there is something more than the daily crap going on in your life at this moment and you truly needed support, then I do apologize.

Susan is currently in process of having "female" problems addressed (endometriosis - I've discussed previously in this thread). I saw some paperwork from the insurance company and happened to catch a glimpse of this one test on a form and it made me laugh:
