We once had to decapitate a baby ratteler that ended up on our farm in Hilmar (it came out of a trailer we had brought from a house in the mountains). That thing was still snapping in the jar an hour later.
And Ally, there is no other way to do it. If you don't pin it it will strike. If you just let it go you won't ever know where it went and everyone, human and animal, will be in danger of being bitten. On a farm there are just too many places for a snake to hide. |
