New word of the day (and other delightful linguistic discoveries)
I was reading an article a little bit ago and came across this gem of a word, which I intend to sock away for future use: sangfroid

In context:

The Street may be dismayed by Bernanke's sangfroid, but it shouldn't be surprised. This is exactly the kind of policy that Bernanke has spent his entire career arguing for.
What a delightful way to say cold-blooded or cool-headed.
