What I found humorous is that CNN reported (I don't know if they changed it or not) that the administration claimed this was a complete surprise this morning and they had no prior knowledge it was going to happen.

Problem is, I heard about it on Friday, including who was going to replace him. Granted, it was just rumor but apparently my sources are better than the White House's.
