Napa Rose is lovely. I like to sit at the chef's counter, where you get a personalized meal experience. As I don't drink alcohol, it's nice to know that the kitchen is more than happy to create a meal that isn't centered around wine. Cool thing, though, for those who do imbibe, practically every server is a certified sommelier. Alex, I don't think I've eaten beef more than once there.
I'm up for a Napa Rose swanking - Wednesday through Saturday nights work for me.

Oh, there's always stuff on the menu I could eat but it feels very secondary, which combined with the wine focus (I find wine vile and Lani doesn't drink at all) of the place just never puts it over the line for us to actually get there.
For example, on the menu Kevy linked to only three of the eight main courses are options for me (I don't eat beef or pork and currently won't support the sea bass fishery). Appetizers do better with 5 of the 9 being options. I'm sure if we went I'd have a wonderful dinner (I've never starved at any restaurant, even Stuart Anderson's), just never quite happens. |
