What amuses me most is the idea that God saved the dinosaurs on the ark, but somehow forgot about their oxygen needs post-flood, and that's why there aren't dinosaurs today. Why bother to load them on the ark at all? Is God into administrative efficiencies? Or didn't want to give away the ending?

You have to read the comic. The claim is that the air had less oxygen after the flood since there were less plants around. I've heard similar theories that involve the comet as trigger.
I've always liked the "died in the flood" theory myself, it bookends nicely. Believing in the flood and dinosaurs at the same time is pretty easy. Why did he have to make it harder?
