Well, it is official. Chicken is a hen! She laid 2 eggs today.
I had a feeling something was up. I found her in the garage this morning. She had pushed the door open. I shooed her out. She then started whining at the back door. I went back out and she was in her cage in the pen. I went back out an hour later and there were 2 eggs. One is flesh colored and the other is a pinkish brown.

How big are the eggs? Fresh eggs are so tasty.

They are small compared to what you would find in the grocery store. As wierd as this is going to sound, I don't know if I would be comfortable eating them...

Thanks, Snow- actually, we just talked about it and she's concerned as well. We may have to get a different doc though; when she told her doc about some weird hallucinations she was having last year he just laughed it off and told her he wouldn't tell anybody. Asshole. Hopefully, this is just residual stuff happening due to her recent diabetes ll diagnosis, but we agreed to get things checked out if anything else happens.

As far as the artwork- Tori's done lots more, but I need to take pics of some of it and scan them as they are too large to fit into the printer/scanner thingy.

MG- too cool! I think I'd be kind of weirded out eating them as well, although I don't know why. I like eggs. Maybe I just like eggs from anonymous chickens.
