I just got off the phone with NM. He has a friend visiting and the two of them are going to start moving his cars and bikes to the shopping center just south of him (they will be safe there). He has not yet received any evacuation notice, so they are sitting tight.

A co-worker of mine keeps complaining loudly about how miserable her life is because she can't access her email. Her email got wiped out somehow.

One of the guys here got a call from a buddy in the SD area to help, and
got a call 10 minutes later not to bother as his house was already burning.
With the winds the fires are moving fast and blowing large pieces of debris
that break windows and start fires within residences
