A quote from CNN: "It will not end ... until it reaches the ocean or the winds turn around," San Diego Fire Battalion Chief Bruce Cartelli said Tuesday.

Scary stuff- the winds aren't supposed to die down until mid-Thursday. In the old days, whole towns (including ours, on several occasions) used to burn down, but this sort of thing isn't supposed to happen in this day and age. Fingers and toes crossed that all our SoCal LoT family, and everyone else, remains safe. I'm very proud and impressed at how you all pull together to help each other and to keep us updated.
