Bacon-y thoughts for an afternoon:

1. I'm glad my Cobb salad came with real bacon. Plus, the bleu cheese dressing wasn't half bad, even if it tasted like a bleu cheese/cheddar dressing.

2. My house will never have Bacos. I will always have real bacon, or nothing at all. No substitutions. I grew up in an imitation bacon house and I vow, "Never again!"

3. What does bacon not go with? Seriously, I'm having a hard time with this one. It goes with food items in every major category, so I tried to break it down while eating the Cobb salad. I figure that maybe it might not go with cottage cheese, but I think that probably tastes good with bacon. I'm racking my brain for more foods that it might not go well with, but I'm coming up with blanks. It might not taste good with... Oh, maybe I should give up.

4. Bacon is gud.

I made a breakfast bananas fosters and added bacon. It was one of the best things I've ever created for breakfast. Everyone in my house loved it!

There is a chocolatier that makes a bacon chocolate... I'm certain € posted that somewhere in this thread...

See, I think bacon would taste good on vanilla ice cream. Then again, I'm somewhat lactose intolerant and ice cream is the thing that does it every time.

Twinkies - you might have me there.

Berries - are you kidding me? I think it would taste fantastic with berries! While I've never eaten them specifically to be together, nothing, in my mind, is better than a breakfast with bacon, eggs and some form of fruit.

I guess I'm in the frame of mind that nothing goes better with bacon than sweets. I'm not as big of a sweets fan, so perhaps that's why adding such a savory is so appealing to me...

I had the bacon mints, and they were disgusting.

The choco-bacon, on the other hand, was very nize.

I would think that bacon and mint could coexist peacefully, but the bacon flavored mints were eccch.
