I got the Chicago Typewriter mid-way through the second game. You get to keep all your stuff, so I just sold most of my upgraded equipment and got the gun and the unlimited rockets. You go through the game much faster with those.

Heh I love how the game lets you totally screw around after you've played through it once seriously. I can't wait to run around just mowing all those bastards down!
