Casting A Christmas Carol
Bill and I just finished watching the George C Scott version of A Christmas Carol (my absolute favorite version), and we got to talking about who we would cast in a new version.

This is who we have so far:

Scrooge: Anthony Hopkins
Bob Cratchet: Ralph Fiennes
Mrs Cratchet: Cate Blanchett
Ghost of Christmas Past: Judi Dench
Ghost of Christmas present: Gerard Butler
Fred (the Nephew): Orlando Bloom
Nephew's Wife: Kate Winslet

The George C Scott version is my favorite. But now I need to hunt down the musical version starring Kelsey Grammar. Caught a few pieces of it on YouTube and it looks great. He makes a good Scrooge!

In a way, I can picture Judi Dench playing Scrooge, too. She as a female Scrooge would be kind of fun to watch.
