Just watched "Bubba Ho-Tep". There are no words. A mummy loose in east Texas killing old people, a guy who thinks he's Kennedy, and a guy who thinks he's Elvis. "Mr. President, we're going to kills us a mummy". OMG.

"Elvis returns in : Bubba Nosferato- curse of the she-vampires". Priceless.

Bubba Ho-tep is one of my favorite movies. It's especially neat that they show it on HDNet as "Art House Favorites"- as ridiculous as the movie SOUNDS, it's really quite well made, and absolutely hilarious.

I think Bubba Ho-Tep is one of those movies that was ruined for me by extensive overhype. It was a couple years before I finally got around to seeing it, with everybody telling me I had to see it.

So by the time I did, my reaction was "that's it?" Since I trust the people who goaded me to watch it I assume that is what happens and not that they're all wrong.

I'm in the same boat as Alex. Bubba's got it's charm, but I dunno, it kinda fell flat overall for me.

I was expecting a trip to Egypt or something, so when it started I had no hype, no idea what to expect since it wasn't what I thought it was. I liked it. I laughed. I'll probably see it again.
