When I had the left one done the first time many years ago, they did a horrible job and I was in pain for a couple of days (not to mention I was so dizzy with pain that evening that I couldn't even drive home).

The re-piercing of the left was not bad at all.

The new piercing of the right hurt like a sonofabitch on the actual piercing but quickly went a away. It is a little tender, but I only notice it if I bump it the wrong way.

Today my optometrist noted that I'm rather near sighted.

You think?

Not noticeable.

After it heals, then it gets fun. For now; its just there.

I know it well. Ive known my OD for almost 20 years...and he still tells me Im a myop like its some big a$$ news flash.

although he did mention that I seem to be in the earliest stages of glaucoma...and have a itty bitty (an industry term?) cataract forming.

"cuz you're old now" is the only cause he could give me.
bastard....all that and he still wont prescribe medical THC for me....

My reading vision has really tanked in the last 8-12 months. It wasn't a gradual thing, just a complete nose dive.

I'm approaching 30 and am still sans-vision enhancement. It's been a long time since I've been tested, but I have yet to discern any need. I think I might be eeeever so slightly near-sighted, but it hasn't affected me in the least. I have no clue how I'm this lucky. I am literally the only one in my family. Everyone else has significantly impaired vision, and from young ages. Everyone. And here I am finishing my 3rd decade and never having need for a pair of glasses (save for the pair of "reading glasses" one optometrist sold me that was such a low prescription that I'm pretty sure they were just flat pieces of glass in frames that got her some $ from our insurance. Never worn them).

Mine's done the same. I can't read any small print at all without my glasses.

I've noticed that for the last year or so I have to take my glasses off to read fine print.
