Did anyone else suffer through Hannah Montana in 3-D?

It's cheaper than $1K a ticket, inside and the glasses aren't so bad. I suffered so my kid could enjoy her favorite part time pop star in our local cineplex. People were lined up for about an hour before the show and (much like a concert) weren't so friendly to others when it came to giving their kids the best of *ahem* good seats.

All in all, it was adorable as far as high pitched screaming and flying drumsticks go. Jonas Brothers have a lot of hair. A lot.

Anyone else suffer too?

I did want to give a shout out for the trailers. I was squealy for a a good few.

Prince Caspian **looks fantastic!!
WALL-E * meh... not quite impressed yet
Coraline *I squealed when I realized what it was--the preview was in 3-D!!
Journey to the Center of the Earth *decent looking because it was in 3-D
College Road Trip *um... Raven Symone... my eyes were burning

My wife suffered it without even seeing the show.......

Portland Public Schools were closed today and she's the Manager of a 20 plex with several 3-d capable screens.

My poor Minnie

Thankfully Tori has not expressed interest in seeing it. I would be willing to pay her to forget all about it if she did, though.

While I consider myself fortunate that my 14 year old and 6 year old daughters have no interest, I'm wondering how this currently has 83% on Rotten Tomotoes? Granted, there are only 12 reviews in, but still......

And Strange wilderness sounds like a good movie for ISM and MBC according to one review -

I have to say that, having caught a couple episodes of Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel (and only pausing because the huge success intrigued me) that as far as tweener TV goes it isn't bad.

I'm afraid that this may come out insulting to Steph but I really don't mean it that way. But she just traveled 150 miles to watch a U2 concert movie (in 3D) on opening day so maybe Hannah Montana doesn't show a musical sophistication that most of these girls will probably acquire in another 5-10 years but it seems pretty good training.

That said, the theater across the street from me is showing it and the place was so crawling with 10-year-old girls that I just turned around and came home.

So far, we've navigated around that phenomenon. Most Disney Channel/Nickelodeon teen shows give me seizures with their bands of kickily attired, braying kids of every conceivable ethnicity, all of whom seem to have been bronzed the same neutral orange. That said, had we not been so lucky, I'd be in line.

This weekend the kids will be occupied with round-the-clock election coverage, Super Bowl analysis and Holocaust studies.

I took headliner to the live concert in Jan. She also has tickets for her and a friend to see the movie later this week. Thankfully my duties in this area are fully discharged and I do not have to endure the movie.

Give it a week, that rating will drop. It takes about a week for RT ratings to stabilize generally.

Thankfully I don't have any little ones. It would take much alcohol to get me in there.
