Sasha periodically just has complete spastic fits at night - running up and down the stairs, slamming into the sliding glass door - general cat olympics.

Meanwhile - I think I might have a stress fracture in my foot. Has anyone else ever had one? It hurts when I put weight on it, and has on and off for a couple months, but now it REALLY hurts when I put weight on it, or drive, or do just about anything. It hurts on the outside edge of my foot, about midway between toes and ankle. Doesn't feel like a muscle issue.

George the cat is angry. I am actually wearing my fuzzy bathrobe for once rather than letting him sleep on it. He keeps sitting behind my computer chair and has wapped me twice with his paw so far.

I haven't ever had a stress fracture, but what you're describing sounds like what I have had for about a week and a half. I didn't DO anything to it, but I did walk a lot that weekend. It only hurts when I put weight on it. Very annoying.

My pain is closer to the ankle, but also on the outside edge of my foot.

I have no idea.

Wish I could help you, but I can suffer with you. Not helpful, I realize.

I feel your pain. My cat, Haggis, has been 'snuggling' with me this evening, which is an exercise in pain for any snugglee. She sits on your lap and if you move, touch her or do anything that might displease her she smacks you with her paw and yowls at you. Then, she settles her little Scotty fold ears even lower onto her head and glowers at you as she gets comfortable again.

Maybe that's it. I guess I was just more worried since he was really needy all day. I think he misses my boyfriend, who will be out of town for another 2.5 weeks in Iowa. It's not that they're snuggly together, but they talk to one another a lot. Who knows? Kitty Olympics seems logical, since I still can't get that image out of my mind of Markus flying at my face with all his paws coming at me. If only I had a camera!

Have you ever had arch problems in the past? I had issues with my feet for a while when I was 19-20. I was already going to a physical therapist for a back injury, so I asked the doc about my leg pains. He said my Converse were causing the problem, and that I had high arches. As my feet were being more flattened out it was causing stress on the rest of the system, which caused pain that was shooting up to my knees. I still wore my Converse from time to time, but not nearly as often.

I also probably have a stress fracture in my left ankle, being uninsured has prevented me from finding out what I need to know, though. From what I understand, it's not the kind of thing that really heals at all. Just give your foot all the support it can get?

Sorry you're having issues with it. It's troubling to feel like you can't walk or stand because of pain that isn't identified.

I have no idea, but I recommend and hope you are going to Doctor to have yourself looked at. Then again, the competition at MA might prefer you not....

BE, your cat may very well be missing the other human in the house. My husbands little girl kitty misses him terribly when he's gone. It's not like he feeds, waters or cares for them but he does coo to them. His little one freaks out if he calls and leaves a message on the machine. She will fly over the computer to get to the answering machine! So now when he's out of town he calls at least once for the cats, it usually calms them down.

Tigger goes nuts when my mom is in Canada. He wanders around lost, lonely looking for her. Springer and Boo are a lot more needy when she is gone too. It's not like they don't already spend all day with my dad, but when my mom is gone it's a whole other story.

Did you feel a little like the kitty on the left in this picture?
