Mrs. Day-Lewis wore my least favorite dress.
I had SO much fun tonight! Kudos to all those who called the various races - but mostly, the terrific quippy banter (onscreen, but mostly in-living-room) was my favorite. Lovely. Thank you all for coming, those who joined us! (BTW, this is Oscar 3 for 3 Tom and I have tied in terms of our prognostics.) |

It was lots of fun at the Oscar swanking at LSPE's and Tom's. Total fun! Thanks for having us. ![]() |

Kidman looked spectacular (those dia-monds, oh my) and I thought Helen Mirren looked incredible. I was thrilled to bits for Cotilard and for Diablo Cody. Viggo Mortensen and Colin Ferrell took home the scruffier-then-thou award. I've been rooting for Tilda Swinton since I first saw her in Orlando (wow, how long ago was that?). Enjoyed the show, enjoyed the friends I had over, but I think all-in-all, I would rather been at the swankier bash south! ![]() |

I think the only dress I really took notice of was the one worn by Alexandra Byrne who won for best costume design. It was rather bland. Somehow, given her calling, I was expecting something more interesting.

HI!

Best commercial of the night has to involve an underwater circus. Worst, the roving eyeball.

![]() Helen Mirren looked great. Hillary Swank looked great. Jennifer Garner looked great. But Jennifer Hudson and Tilda Swinton were fashion challenged tonight. Yuk. |

Oh, the other commercial that had me covering my eyes was the Godfather horse head commercial. I actually thought they were showing that scene and it is one of my LEAST favorite film scenes of all time. And, what happened to Viggo Mortenson (I did NOT recognize him) and who was the little girl he was with? |
