Day-2 Update... Another 3.3 Miles today. Not bad for an out of shape geek. I went to the mall to pick up some better shoes. Instead I found some cool inserts, rather like those gel pads but higher end. They use that memory foam stuff. A dramatic improvement in comfort. Also I noticed that I was walking much slower in real life than normal. I'm getting attuned to the pace of the treadmill... I'll have to watch that.
