I'm listening to 5 volumes of "Living in Oblivion: The 80's Greatest Hits". I'm in heaven.

On the minus side, CP just farted. It's horrible.

Of all the 80's compilation disc's, this series is my favorite. It really has a great cross section of music and includes some lesser hits which I enjoy.

My second favorite is the Richard Blade series. There is a lot of duplication between the two collections, but the RB collection has some great stuff that LIO doesn't.

I like it specifically because it's not much of a cross section. It's pretty squarely in the New Wave camp, which is fine by me.

Cross section of New Wave: the edgier and the poppier. I consider songs such as 'Too Shy' - Kaja Goo Goo, 'Mickey' - Toni Basil , 'Heart and Soul' - T'Pau, 'Shattered Dreams' - Johnny Hates Jazz, etc. as Pop, not New wave. But that may just be me.
