They came like vultures
Sensing death
But they were family
Pretending love

“But certainly, there’s a will?
There must be something here
To divide amongst us
Or at least sell?”

But there wasn’t
Death was still 20 years away
Possessions used
Money spent

So we buried dad alone
With love,
Respect and dignity
And little else.
