				            | I went to South Bay Mini to get some work done on my car. I pulled up into the service area, and this earnest young woman bustled over, "Hi, welcome to South Bay Mini... What's your car's name?" "Uhhh... It doesn't have one", I replied. "Oh... we have these name tags.", She showed me an oversized magnetized version of the standard "My name is _______" badge, "Most Mini owners name their cars." "well, I haven't." "That's cool. Maybe When you come in next time.", with not a trace of irony in her voice. I think I stumbled on a cult. They do an excellent work, though.

				            | My first wife named her car. I divorced her. I leave it to others to posit a causal relationship. |

| Nueve | OK, I really need to put away the oriental wasabi snack mix. Too. Addictive. And now I have weird breath. I need to find some gum.

The big ol Chrysler New Yorker I first drove in VA was named Reggie, for no good reason I can remember because the previous owner had named it so. The name stuck. Other than that, all my cars have been no-named. | |
