'Star Wars' Fans Wait At Wrong Theater

Yes lizziebith is out on the Boulevard too! I've met many cool new people already. Sadly, I've also gotten into *******-matches with bloggers over our motives. I should not take the flame-bait. I admit that one of my personality defects is a tendency to be...earnest . Which is like having a target painted on me in the cynical internet-world.

Anyway, even if Ep. III is dreadful, I'm enjoying myself. Can't wait until iSm comes back to the line! Hope to see the rest of you, even as visitors, there too!

Oh boy, did I ever find that out the hard way when a post of mine was ripped off a message board, posted out of context on defamer.com, and subsequently relayed all over the blogosphere to film industry insiders, mainstream press, and our charity sponsors - - who almost dropped us over the imbroglio.

And all because I said, in a heated argument exchange, that our group would likely exploit our charity connection to put media pressure on LucasFilm and 20th Century Fox to screen Episode III at the Chinese. I suppose if I would have phrased it less colorfully, I would not have been quoted - but I think I put it in words to the effect that we would not be above trotting cancer-ridden kids out to the line if necessary and that LFL and Fox would not want to be seen buttfvucking sick children on national TV.

Yeah and the quoters ignored the fact that you were totally being baited...Actually we ALL were being baited. That stupid blogging-LA guy is still getting major hits off us. Baiting us all the way to the bank. Hugs, iSm, when next we meet in the flesh. You wear no tar or feathers in my book.

EDIT: I'd also like to say that I'm very weary. Yes, weary. I actually cried last night when I saw our local Channel 7 spot on "the lining-up losers." I wish I could be the kind of person who shrugs that off...but I'm not. I'm out there on the Boulevard having fun, hurting no-one, and raising money for sick kids I'll probably never meet. And I guess that makes me a loser. So, I get a little defensive, weepy and all that. Oy Star Wars what have you done to me?
