We were looking at renting a beach house in Newport on our next vacation- could be around the time you're looking for lodging, LashPair. If so, you're welcome to crash there! (Although I seriously doubt you'll have difficulty finding SoCal lodging). Most of them sleep 9 or more, and we'd only have around five people. Of course, that means you'd have to put up with us twice in one month..... The Yosemite Swanking sounds intriguing as well, so maybe we'll skip the beach and do that instead. I'll have to scope out lodging, etc, and run the idea past everyone.

That night, we repair to the RV for cocktails, then the following morning we do Tour 3 of Hearst.

Hawaii and Vancouver we will be with Greg's Mother for the duration........

I see you've got everything planned to the minute.

When were you going to tell us Japan was off ... when we were somewhere over the Phillipines??

In the interest of accuracy and the prevention of upped-hopes, I move that this trip be renamed the "Lashpair Grand Pacific States Tour 2009."

I'm wondering what the actual post count of this thread will be once the Lashpair are on the plane heading to the US?

I reckon MF and Moonliner and all the other East Coasters come join us for the 2009 Yosemite Chill-out !! (or at least a meet at DL.) That way MF could ride... The Matterhorn with me. It's always been a dream of mine.
