But, what if aliens come and take over earth while the credit card is being processed and then its denied?
And, what if there's a massive avalanche next month in Yosemite that buries the cabin? What if they don't give us a refund in that case? And, what if the we watch hours of anime and make bento-box lunches while we're there. Would it still count as being cool as going to Japan? |

Sigh, I don't think I'm going to be able to reserve the overflow cabin. I'm in a bit of a financial crisis right now (I could barely afford the camping trip) and I can't really front a week's worth of cabin for people who, by definition, can't commit financially right now.

Oi, and there's a 10% cancellation fee ... based on the entire reservation, not the one night's deposit. Strawberry Creek is $225 for two people (not sure what it goes up to for 6), so if there's not enough interest I'd be stuck with a hundred dollars cancellation fee ... and no place to stay on top of that.

But help me out here. There were 16 people in the original reservation, but the Scenic Wonders cabin is reserved for only 10. Are there enough bedrooms there for 10, much less for 16?
I'm wondering because if I could get a feel that some of the original 16 would be willing to shift over to any availabilities at the overflow cabin in order to, ya know, sleep in a bed ... I'd be willing to make the ressie and assume the (oh hell this scares me) financial liability. BTW, I like the Yosemite Summit way better than the Strawberry Creek. It's two doors down, same price as Strawberry Creek ... but way nicer, imo. Anyway the rate for either goes up to $375/night at the max occupancy of 8 - - which would mean a cancellation charge of $150. Yikes. I dun't know what to do. |
