MP3 download services

I do believe in the sanctity of intellectual property and would regard illegally downloading the same as walking into a store and lifting a CD, so I definitely want to pay for whatever I download.

I'll look into itunes. Thanks for the input. I need MP3 format as I don't have a Mac, and being able to burn CDs is important, too.

iTunes is available for the PC as well. The AAC format is not platform dependent and is a much less lossy format than MP3.

Two notes on the Napster service. You can't use just any MP3 player: there is a list of players thast work with the service. Also, Napster still has a purchase service.
