My sis Bobbi and I used to be roomies, and we had a genuine psycho living downstairs. We used to have to sneak around in our bare feet so he wouldn't go ballistic from any noise, yet he would have his TV blaring at full volume all the time. (He told the landlord he was hard of hearing.) The final straw was when he started yelling that he was going to shoot us through the floor- we could hear him arguing with himself about whether he should have some wine or just start shooting (very much like Gollum), at which point he'd start yelling at himself because he wasn't supposed to drink........and this went on all night. The next day we had a telephone conference with Eastern State Hospital and he was committed indefinitely.
