So, my friend Carl from Japan sent me a copy of the film Urgh, A Music War which was a film of series of concerts around the world. I was at the LA shows but never saw the actual film. Imagine my surprise when I see myself bopping around on camera to Oingo Boingo.

Of course, I don't appear watching the "cool" bands like The Cramps or Magazine.

I've tried the extended wear a couple of times. I can't wear them even a single night. I use the daily disposable. Wear them once toss them out. No cleaning, no problems in years and years of use. The only thing I don't like is that I can't fall asleep watching TV with them in. I always carry a few extra pairs so there is no worry if I lose one at the pool or some such.

One thing you can look into, an eye specialist I saw suggest I get shunts. Most people who can't wear extended wear have dry eyes. The shunts are essentially little straws inserted into your tear ducts to open them up.

Pimm's

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jump to: navigation, search
"Pimm's Cup" redirects here. For the cocktail, see Pimm's Cup (cocktail).

A vintage Pimm's Bottle

Pimm's is a brand of alcoholic beverages now owned by Diageo. Its most popular product is Pimm's No. 1 Cup, a gin-based beverage that can be served both on ice or in cocktails. The recipe of Pimm's No. 1 Cup is secret; it has a dark tea colour with a reddish tint, and tastes subtly of spice and citrus fruit.
Pimm's is most common in Britain, particularly Southern England. It is one of the two staple drinks at Wimbledon, the Henley Royal Regatta and the Glyndebourne opera festival, the other being champagne. As a result Pimm's has the reputation of being a drink for the upper class.
Pimm's No. 1 Cup is the essential ingredient in the Pimm's Cup, which mixes one part Pimm's No.1 with three parts lemonade or lemon soda (sometimes ginger ale or Indian tonic water), ice cubes, borage leaves (nowadays a wedge of cucumber is usually substituted for this ingredient), mint leaves and slices of lemon, orange and strawberry.

MW- I'm glad your daughter is ok.

My hound is back home. She has long incisions and her foot is wrapped and they pulled two teeth, but my baby is back home.

Of course, Wikipedia has it wrong again. The correct name for the beverage is "Pimm's No 1 Cup" (I don't think they made any other numbers, though.)

Since the dawn of time, our family has always drunk this diluted in lemonade (Sprite to the USA) with a strip of cucumber twisted into the drink.
