I used to have a snobby attitude about them until, ahem WOW, I actually met some. And realized another sneaky prejudice I hadn't really acknowledged to myself had gotten shattered. If I came across as a hater, I apologize, that was not my intent. I know plenty of gamers, my brothers are gamers, I totally dig gaming culture, etc. My jokes about gamers come from a fond place. You do know that my husband was a D&D guy?

No worries! My post wasn't really directed at any one person -- more at the direction I was afraid the thread was going. Plus, I'm sure I'm hypersensitive as I've been geekbashed pretty hard in public in my life -- not HERE of course.

I didn't know all that stuff about the family/hubby, though: coolness!
