Im with you on that. I like coffee flavored coffee... Truck stop, donut shop coffee rules. Strong and bitter, makes you recoil like a shot of whisky. Lets ya know its working. Ill take that over any fancy shmancy concotions anyday. |

I can't stand Starbucks. It tastes burnt to me (unless it's one of the ones that's mostly ice cream and syrups, but that's not "normal coffee"). Euromonkey makes good coffee. I make terrible coffee. I have a coffee-making deficiency. |

I'm not one for concoctions either. No flavorings or steamed whatever. When I go to a Peet's or someplace good, I just enjoy a nice cup of coffee with a little sugar and a little cream. The only exception is that if I am really dragging, I don't mind a shot of espresso in my coffee.

am/pm and 7-Eleven offer decent coffee for a good price. Also, if you mix just the right combination of coffee/cappucino/hot chocolate from the self-service dispensers at either place, it's "almost" like a Starbucks mocha.

Has anyone tried the "New Premium Roast Coffee" at McDonald's yet? I've only heard the radio commercials--they're a bit annoying with a fake couple talking about how much they like it.
FREE COFFEE, ANYONE? McDonald's Launches 'New Premium Roast Coffee' Blend With Free Cup for Customers LOS ANGELES, April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- McDonald's introduces its "New Premium Roast Coffee", a savory and exclusive blend of the best Arabica coffee beans from South and Central America. To share McDonald's "New Premium Roast" with customers, they are invited to enjoy a free 12 oz. cup when they visit any participating McDonald's within the five counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura, on Mondays through May 2. Here is a LINK to the complete press release. Another LINK to a story about McDonald's attempt to compete with Starbucks: "McDonalds To Test Upscale Coffee This Summer." |

Ah, vending machine coffee reminds me of when I went back to college. Feeling aggravated at going to class after work and being stuck there until late. Grabbing coffee or hot chocolate to keep me awake. Scalding my mouth on our 10 min break. Still, I was rather proud of myself for attempting to get educated enough to get a different job.
Yesterday I was all set to get coffee somewhere but ended up at the PCH Hot Dog stand that doesn't serve coffee. I got a coffee mocha milkshake, though, which was really, REALLY good. A milkshake that you can actually drink with a straw! And so very tasty. I've always preferred hot chocolate/milkshakes to coffee anyway. ![]()

I vouch for €'s coffee as well. I just say "lots of sugar, lots of cream" and choose a Disney mug.
Always makes the morning after more enjoyable.Heehee....yeah, I said the last line on purpose. ![]()

I just have to throw this in...
I walked into a Peet's this morning for a cup of coffee. I started to hand them money and they said, "No charge today." !!! It turns out that regular coffee is free all month during certain times to celebrate their 39th anniversary. Free all day Saturday and Sunday and on weekdays, between 11 and 3 only. I thought that was pretty darn cool. Mojo for Peet's! ![]() I'm only sad that I didn't learn of this until the 17th of the month. |
