It didn't matter that the LoT and Twitter didn't go down in the quake, because my cell phone service and internet access did.

What's proper twitterquette for not really wanting requesters to follow you and not really wanting to know what they do minute to minute?

I have several people who's follower requests I've simply ignored, as opposed to denied. I'm not sure what to do without causing offense.

Probably just ignore them without posting them.

One of the updates allows you to accept people to follow you, but you don't have to follow them in return anymore.
