Nothing boosts one's confidence in one's own mediocre soccer skills like seeing someone who has never played make an attempt. It's a good reminder that, forget about dribbling, defending, making good passes. The simple act of making contact on the ball with your foot is a skill.

<<sigh>> In the space of 24 hours, I received the "Microsoft/AOL will send you money if you forward this" email from 4 different relatives. Not one of them used BCC.

I just sent them all back email with a link to the Snopes page. I used Reply to All on all of them, so everyone will know what idiots they are.

played for the first time since Jr High not long ago. nothing on earth can make a relatively self confident adult feel more like a total spaz.

well...that or attempting to tango.

For some reason, my immediate family expanded their emails to my extended family network of nuts. Now I get 2-3 fraudulent emails daily about "a new way to rape" and "the flyer in the window carjacking scam" etc. I've forwarded them to snopes.com so many times that I think snopes should start paying me.

That's why I wish places would just keep things available only in proper portion sizes, because I think it would resolve some of the obesity issues in the country (the ones that can be attributed to overeating). Sure, people would bitch about it, but hey, if it bothers them to order multiple servings, then they obviously know they shouldn't be eating that much anyway.

I think some of the "full feeling" is acquired by the sight of an empty plate/package. So, just make those plates/packages smaller.
